Beckstoffer Dr Crane Vineyard, St. Helena
Beckstoffers vineyard was originally planted in 1858 by Napa Valley pioneer Dr. George Beldon Crane. The vineyard was entirely replanted in 1998 and is now hitting its stride. The vineyard has quickly become a star due to its high quality fruit. Due to higher temperatures, the Cabernet Sauvignon here tends to ripen earlier than its Oakville cousin (ToKalon) but is starting to show every bit as much potential. The vineyards well drained gravelly loam soils help create wines with a tremendous concentration of cassis and graphite that are intense in flavor, have soft tannins, and are very dark in color. This 25 acre historic vineyard property is located west of Route 29 in the City of St. Helena within the St. Helena AVA.

A. Faustini Wines is sourcing clone 337 from this vineyard to produce our first Cabernet Sauvignon.

Beckstoffer ToKalon Vineyard, Oakville
This famed and historic vineyard in the Oakville AVA was first planted by Napa Valley Pioneer Hamilton Crabb in 1868. Beckstoffer purchased a portion of this vineyard in 1993 from Beaulieu Vineyard. The vineyard was replanted in the mid 1990's with modern trellising and closer vine spacing. Consisting mostly of clay loam, the vineyard drains well and doesn't retain nutrients. The effect is natural stressing of the vine that results in smaller, more concentrated clusters of fruit. This site has produced many legendary wines and is known for its world class Cabernet Sauvignon. This is the grand cru vineyard of the new world. If you're looking for a wine that has a phenomenal combination of power and silkiness, look no further

A. Faustini Wines is sourcing clone 4 from this vineyard which will be used in our signature bottling.

Beckstoffer Vineyard X, Oakville
On the cooler end of Oakville, 2 miles south of ToKalon, Vineyard X is planted to cabernet in deep, well-drained soils. Although there are still some 30 year old vines, most of the vineyard was replanted in the late 90's to the same clones and rootstock found at ToKalon. The vineyard (formerly known as Vine Hill Vineyard) produces wines with dark cherry, cassis, a hint of cabernet herbaciousness and
excellent structure for aging.

A. Faustini Wines will be sourcing from this vinyeard starting with the 2007 vintage.

Galleron Road Vineyard, Rutherford
As in Bordeaux, sauvignon blanc tends to do extremely well where cabernet grows. The Rutherford AVA produces great cabernet sauvignon but we went to Galleron Road for the sauvignon blanc. This vineyard, located on Galleron Road in Rutherford, will be the source of our Sauvignon Blanc. Wines produced from this vineyard are crisp, with hints of citrus and minerality.

Ink Grade Vineyard, Howell Mountain
The vineyard was planted in 1990 and spans 200 acres of mountainous terrain. The Howell Mountain region produces wines that are often richly tannic, with excellent acidity for aging. This is one of the most visually exciting vineyards. Much of the vineyard is beautifully terraced and it is all well-tended. The vineyard is planted to a quad trellis that produces about 2 to 2.5 tons per acre. This is also one of the more technologically advanced sites, using "stress modules" to determine ripening which enables you to do multiple picks during harvest to achieve optimal ripeness. The vineyards grapes go into some of the most sought after Bordeaux style blends being produced in California.

A. Faustini Wines will be producing its first Cabernet Sauvignon from this vineyard beginning in 2006.

Suscol Bench Vineyard, Napa Valley
Suscol Bench offers a unique terroir for Bordeaux varietals in Napa Valley. This down-valley site is much cooler than most of Napa and has a dramatic rock-strewn southwest slope that provides the vines the sunlight they need to fully ripen. The climate of Suscol Bench naturally provides a longer hang-time resulting in profound color and flavor intensity in wines produced from this vineyard. This is a very high density vineyard with over 2000 vines per acre and has been planted entirely to clone 337. By choosing these clones, the vineyard moderates the higher tannin and herbal aromatics often found in cooler climate/hillside vineyards.

A. Faustini Wines we be producing its first Cabernet Sauvignon from this vineyard beginning in 2007.
